All Upcoming Cards & Events in Pokemon TCG Pocket
Pokemon TCG Pocket has taken the world by storm, with tens of millions of people downloading the game since its release in October of 2024. Although most people are still loving their time with it, one of the biggest complaints seems to be that there just isn’t enough content, but that could all be about to change over the coming months.

The developers have already confirmed that one highly requested feature will be added to the game in early 2025, while dataminers have discovered all kinds of interesting information within the game’s files. Those curious to learn more about everything that’s coming soon in Pokemon TCG Pocket are in luck, as we’ve gathered up all of the official and unofficial news in one place.
The following guide uses information provided by both dataminers and the game’s developers. Given the former, it may contain some mild spoilers.
Pokemon TCG Pocket Release Schedule
A New Pokemon TCG Pocket Themed Booster Pack will be Released on December 17
On the twelfth day of Christmas, the Pokemon Company announced the Mythical Island Themed Booster Pack, which will be released on December 17, and will feature over 80 new cards. These include new immersive cards and full arts, five new Trainer cards, and five new ex cards, including Mew ex, Celebi ex, and Aerodactyl ex. Sadly, data pulled from the game’s files suggests that the next full expansion won’t be arriving until the end of January, but the A1a Mythical Island themed booster pack should hopefully be able to tide players over until then.
Trading will be Added to Pokemon TCG Pocket in January 2025
The November 13 Community Letter confirmed that trading will be added to Pokemon TCG Pocket in January 2025. To begin with, only certain cards will be tradeable, although the developers have indicated that these restrictions will be lifted as time goes by. It’s thought that certain card rarities will be untradable at first, but by making it so that players can only trade cards of matching rarities, the developers will presumably be able to get around the issue of players creating alt accounts and then trading any rare cards that they pull over to their mains.
